Hello Family,
Our reunion is in 121 days! This is right around the corner.
We have scheduled a Zoom meeting for Sunday, March 10th at 3:00 PM Central Standard Time (4:00 PM Eastern). We will answer any questions and go over the reunion itinerary. The zoom link is: https://us05web.zoom.us/j/4255825662?pwd=eG9rQ3ZvcTR2K1I5aVg5NmZNaDk0UT09.
Dues are a flat fee at $50 per adult, $25 per child (13 to 4), and $10 per child (3 and younger), and will be used for t-shirts, private cocktail party menu and drinks on Saturday. Pay dues using PayPal (@prideheard2024) or Cash App ($PrideHeard2024). Please pay by April 15th. Once you have paid your dues, you will need to order your T-shirts.
If you have not called Carnival to set up your account, you have 47 days left. Call Carnival Group Reservations at 866-721-3225, and mention our reunion Group Code: S1H8J3. Our sail date is Friday, June 28, 2024, on the Conquest.
Our group reservation with Embassy Suites is for a King or Double suite at $139 (plus taxes and fees) for Thursday, June 27th. You can grab your T-shirts on Thursday at Embassy Suites or on Friday on the boat.
The excursion will be the Charm & Beauty of Nassau & Paradise Island, priced at $69.99 per adult (13 and over) and $59.99 (12 and under). We have 12 adult spots reserved with 5 seats remaining, so buy your adult tickets through us until there are no more spots. Pay Conail Cross using Cash App ($ConailCross) or PayPal (@conail) until there are no more reserved seats. Once full, you’ll reserve a spot through Carnival’s website. Please buy your excursion tickets by April 15th.
A reminder on transportation: Carnival offers a shuttle from Miami airport to the port and from the port to the airport, for $25 each way; you will need to book through them. Embassy Suites offers a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel (and the opposite way), if you book a room through them. Shuttle from Embassy Suites to the port would need to be pre-arranged with Embassy Suites.
To cancel your trip with Carnival, do so before April 15, 2024. To retrieve the $25 pp deposit made to the Board to save your spots with Carnival, you will still need to set up an account online by calling Carnival. Once they have set you up and pulled your deposit from the group level, you should be able to cancel online and get that refund. Cancellation penalties begin after February 2024:
May 15th: 50% penalty
May 31st: 75% penalty
June 15th: 100% penalty

Hello Family,
We hope you are doing well. For all those who are attending this year’s reunion, this is friendly reminder to pay down your balance with Carnival. Full payment is due by 4-15-2024. If you choose to cancel your cabin reservation, do it before 4-15-2024 or you will receive a $100 cancellation penalty. The penalty increases to 50% at 5-15-2024, 75% at 5-31-2024, and 100% at 6-15-2024.
The excursion we landed on was the Charm & Beauty of Nassau & Paradise Island. Prices are $69.99 per adult (13 and over) and $59.99 (12 and under). We have reserved twelve adult spots through the reunion board. Buy your adult tickets through us until there are no more spots, at which point you’ll reserve a spot through Carnival’s website. To buy a seat already reserved, you can pay Conail Cross using Cash App ($ConailCross) or PayPal (@conail). We ask that you buy your excursion ticket April 15th, so we have a headcount. Dues consist of t-shirts, private cocktail party, menu and drinks.

Hello Family!
On Sunday, December 17th, we held a meeting to give updates to the 2024 Pride/Heard Family Reunion. We covered the following:
If you plan on going to the 2024 Reunion on the Carnival Conquest, you need to call Carnival Group Reservations at 866-721-3225, and mention our reunion Group Code: S1H8J3. Sail date is Friday, June 28, 2024. They will set up an account for you that you will access online to pay your balance and add different add-ons. At that time, you will ask them to pull down from the group level the deposit you made to us to save your seat. We strongly recommend adding the Carnival Vacation Protection Plan to your reservation to protect you from any unforeseen events out of anyone’s control.
If you need to cancel your reservation, do so before the final payment is due on April 15, 2024. To retrieve the deposit made to the Board to save your spot with Carnival, you will still need to set up an account online by calling Carnival. Once they have set you up and pulled your deposit from the group level, you should be able to cancel online and get that refund. Cancellation penalties begin after February 2024. Please contact us with further questions on cancellation and refunds through Carnival.
If you plan to arrive in Miami on Thursday, June 27, 2024, the day before the cruise sets sail, then you may want to book with Embassy Suites. We have set up a group reservation with them for a King or Double suite at $139 (plus taxes and fees) for the night.

The number of rooms under our group code is limited so you will want to make a reservation earlier than later.

Dues will cover the cost of T-shirts, refreshments at any gatherings, and any shared group activities. These activities are currently being planned so you will be updated when the final amount is determined. We expect it to be far less than previous reunions.

You will be able to pick up your T-shirts Thursday, June 27th, at the Meet-and-Greet at the Embassy Suites. They will also be available for pickup on Friday, June 28th, on the boat. Tentatively scheduled for 5:00 PM at Suite #9203. We will create a GroupMe reunion chat so that we can give real-time updates to those attending. More details on that to come.
Dinner time for each guest is not a factor we can control at the group level. There are two dinner times, one at 6:00 PM and one at 8:00 PM. We are pushing for a 6:00 PM time for dinner so that we all can be in the same dining room. We will also attempt to be in the same area. Early dining should also give us more time for fellowship together after dinner.
While passports are not required to re-enter the United States from The Bahamas, you will still have to go through US Customs. Therefore, Carnival strongly suggests you have a working passport to enter the US without any delays. You can schedule an appointment with the US Postal Service at one of their local branches near you. Schedule an appointment using this link: https://www.usps.com/international/passports.htm. Processing can take upwards of a few months.
